Hiking the Vista trail with Makoshika State Park staff. This hike follows a road-to-trails route along a plateau in the undeveloped portion of Makoshika, providing close-up views of the badlands and distant views of adjacent valleys. The trail is moderate in difficulty but little or no shade is available and daytime temperatures can be extreme. Go to wildmontana.org to reserve your spot.
