Music in the Mountains: Tommy Castro and the Painkillers

Join the Arts Council of Big Sky for another amazing night of free Music in the Mountains with the award-winning Tommy Castro and the Painkillers. Opening the show will be the Madeleine Hawthorne Band.
Castro’s relentless road-dog approach gig after gig, night after night has won him loyal, lifelong fans everywhere he plays. The Washington Post descrites Castro as “phenomenal and funky” with “soulful vocals and inspired blues guitar..” According to the San Francisco Chronicle he delivers “funky Southern soul, big city blues and classic rock silvery guitar licks that simultaneously sound familiar and fresh.”
Castro has won six career Blues Music Awards, including the coveted B.B. King Entertainer Of The Year Award (the very highest award a blues performer can receive), and has been signed to the legendary blues label Alligator Records since 2009.
