on view through Oct. 4, the YAM’s second annual North x Northwest exhibition is based on the theme of Women’s Work, in commemoration of the centennial of women’s suffrage. Associate Curator of Native American Art at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, Jill Ahlberg Yohe, juried the exhibition, selecting 60 works from 441 entries, including include 13 from Montana, and the rest hailing from 27 states, ranging from Florida to California.
With “Equal: A Work in Progress,” on display through Sept. 17, Missoula-based painter and photographer Kristi Hager makes equality a work in progress with her series of larger-than-life paintings of women.
