Artist-in-Residence and mixed media designer Rachel McGovern will talk in the Cooper Room A on the 4th floor.
There will be light refreshments and a chance to meet the artist.
Rachel McGovern explores the interactions of form, building an archive of work that plays among ideas of minimalism, tactility, and ornamentation. The objects she creates become interactive sculptures for everyday use, considering material and design. The performances between human and object and object and human are key to the construction of her work. Viewers become collaborators, as their visual reaction and use of each object is the ultimate product of her work.
