Supraliminal: Ellen Ornitz and Candace Forrette is an exhibition of the ceramics of Ellen Ornitz and encaustics by Candace Forrette that takes the viewer beyond the thresholds of the intentional and the intuitive. The Burnt Fossils of Ellen Ornitz are primitively fired ceramic vessels exploring time, mortality, disintegration and renewal. Candace Forrette’s Following Winter series, inspired by traveling through a snowstorm, uses transparent encaustic layers and patterns to explore the journey through difficult times.
