Opening Reception: Susie Risho

Welcome beloved Missoula artist, Susie Risho, and her contemplative body of work created through the years with catering by The Silk Road.
While Susie works in additional mediums, "Ponder" highlights her large, expressive paintings and organic ceramic sculptures.
Susie depicts water in each painting, hoping to raise awareness of Missoula's aquifer and its imperative role in our lives. Accompanying the paintings is a call to "honor and care for this water."
Susie's deep appreciation for nature is equally evident in her sculptures. "Her ceramic work has a fluidity of sensual grace inspired by nature, shells, flowers, rock formations, and the human body."
