Born in rural New Zealand, Oscar Davey-Wraight aka Opiuo grew up surrounded by music festivals hosted on his family’s land, sparking a lifelong passion for rhythm, movement, and sound. Now based in Australia, he’s become a world-renowned producer and pioneer of the glitch-hop genre, blending funk, soul, psychedelia, and bass into a sound that’s uniquely his own. Opiuo has performed at top festivals like Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, and Splendour In The Grass, and even sold out Red Rocks multiple times. His 2014 album Meraki won the New Zealand Music Award for Best Electronic Album, and he continues to evolve with every release including his latest record, ASCENSION SEEKER (2025).
