Tabled in 2020 due to Covid, the Players at last bring this heartwarming comedy to the stage. Nick, a young ad executive, takes a job across the country in Seattle. His two sets of very determined - and very Italian - east-coast grandparents try every trick in the book to get him to stay. Their playbook includes guilt, of course, and pleading, the promise of romance with the girl down the street and, oh yes, food!
Grandparents are played by Ron Martin-Dent and Ann Peacock and Neal and Karen Lewing (who also directs the show). Veronica Marquardt appears as the arranged blind-date for Kia McDonald’s humorous and contemporary grandson.
