The Holter Museum of Art will host an opening reception for ‘Body in Motion,’ an exhibition and dance film created by Julynn Wildman, who was named Intrepid Credit Union’s 2020-2021 Fellow. The reception will be held in the High Gallery of the Holter Museum on Friday, October 22 from 5-7 p.m. with the dance film premiere at 6.
Body in Motion is a fantastical, comical narrative that uses visual arts, sculpture, writing and dance film to tell the story of Mika, a lost girl who crosses paths with a wondrous cast of animal characters on her wandering journey home. Audiences are invited to watch the film and immerse themselves in the world it explores through an exhibit of found-object sculptures, textile structures, paintings and photographs.
This reception celebrates the culmination of a year-long artist fellowship sponsored by Intrepid Credit Union. ‘Body in Motion’ will be installed in the High Gallery through the end of the calendar year.
