Reception: Group Exhibition: Finding Hope: A Sense of Urgency

Feb 7

Free

The opening reception will feature Live music by John Floridis, plus free snacks and drinks provided. This group exhibition, Finding Hope: A Sense of Urgency, features a range of artistic mediums and visions, analyzing the world, the tragedies held and impending, and ultimately, how we can rise above it. Painter Elaine Fraticelli combines images of current events and personal emotions with natural symbols and beauty to explore grief and love. Sculptor Lauris Reintjes presents his spectacular collection of faux animals to highlight our current crisis of a sixth mass extinction. The show also features a series of photographs by five University of Montana photojournalist students and graduates. Each photographer documents their journey to Bangladesh, each with their own unique vision on a different aspect of how Climate Change is affecting the rural communities of that area.
