Reception: Lodgepole John's Art

Lodgepole's art reflects his love of wildlife, the outdoors and intense color, which he layers to make expansive statements. While learning to play guitar in later years he noticed the feel of the strings vibrating on his fingertips, and wanted to convey that “sound” in his art. The attempt is visible in his pieces, “Waterfall,” “What a Day,” “Morning Loon,” “Humming and Drying.” and others.
Exhibit open 2-4 p.m. weekends until June 26.
