Recollections: 2026 Guest Artist Residency Performance

Recollections challenges the idea that repetition is monotonous, instead presenting it as a source of renewal. As time shapes each moment, repeated actions evolve, gaining new meaning and depth. The performance features community and professional dancers from Cohesion and Helena.
Helena native Murphy recently earned her MFA from Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London after completing her BFA at the University of Wyoming and training at Helena’s Creative Arts Center. She has taught at Cohesion intensives and performed as the Rat Queen in Nutcracker on the Rocks (2025).
Cohesion’s Spring Artist Residency supports new contemporary dance works while fostering community engagement through classes and outreach, including programs with local schools.
