“Remembering the Rising” with Traolach O'Riordain and "The Plough and the Stars" by Sean O'Casey

the second installment of the Historic Clark Chateau's "Remembering the Rising" 1916 Centennial speaker series features Traolach O'Riordain, director of the Irish Studies program at The University of Montana, and an acclaimed scholar of Irish America. His talk will explore the role of the Irish Americans in fomenting rebellion in their homeland in the early 20th century, with a Q&A to follow. The Ballroom Players will introduce Professor O'Riordain's lecture with a performance of Act II of "The Plough and the Stars," the seminal play by Irish playwright Sean O'Casey.
