Restoring the Prairie, inspired by Jason Elliot Clark’s exhibition, Free Land, is a unique, multidisciplinary conversation exploring the intersections of conservation, Indigenous knowledge, and creative expression. This event brings together filmmaker Roy Bigcrane, conservationist Scott Heidelbrink of American Prairie, poet and community outreach director Corrie Williamson, and artist Jason Elliott Clark, whose exhibition Free Land provides the foundation for the discussion.
Together, these voices will explore themes of bison restoration, land stewardship, cultural memory, and creative response offering an inspiring look at the past, present, and future of Montana’s prairie ecosystem.
