MAM presents a collection of drawings and paintings by the late Rosemary "Romey" Stuckart. Stuckart passed away while planning for this exhibition was underway. A graduate of Gonzaga University, Spokane, she also studied in Florence, Italy before receiving an MFA from the University of Iowa, where she met and married Stephen Schultz in 1984. She and Schultz moved to Hope, Idaho in 1987, and she was awarded a Guggenheim fellowship and NEA in 1994.
Her depictions of energy and internal processes in the guise of Idaho landscapes and self-portraits is widely celebrated, a result of her combined passions for healing arts and art-making.
