Roundup Independence Days Extravaganza (R.I.D.E.)

fun three-day event features concerts by British Mania, a Beatles tribute band, at 6 p.m. Sunday (Jason Larson opens); and David Frizzell and Highway 101’s Paulette Carlson at 6 p.m. Monday (the Cimarron Band opens and Lonnie Bell is MC for this Salute to Veterans). Saturday’s festivities include a youth rodeo; Civil War encampment, fashion show and presentation; and an evening talk on Teddy Roosevelt. A parade travels through town at 11 a.m. Sunday and the park hosts kids’ activities, booths and food vendors noon-5 p.m., followed by the British Mania concert and fireworks. R.I.D.E. wraps up on the Fourth with a 5k run/walk at 7:30 a.m., another parade at 11 a.m., a rodeo at 2 p.m. and the evening concert featuring David Frizzell and Paulette Carlson at 6 p.m..
