“Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek.” Because of his unnatural, green appearance, he is misunderstood, bitter, and prefers to live in a swamp alone- until all the fairy tale characters of the land crash his swamp after being banished by Lord Farquaad, the requisite bad guy.
