Silent Sky

Nov 14 - Nov 24

Henrietta Levitt dreams of the stars. However, as she starts her work at the Harvard Observatory, her dreams are thwarted by the societal views at the start of the twentieth century when such things as the use of a telescope are the province of men alone. She persists in her passion, balancing it with real-world obligations of family and the possibility of romance. In the end, Henrietta’s brilliance and dedication lead her to unlocking the secrets of mapping the universe. Written by one of the most produced playwrights of our time, ‘Silent Sky’ will let audiences soar to the heavens.
This production is presented as part of the curriculum of the School of Theatre and Dance. The University of Montana is committed to creating inclusive, accessible events.
