Step Into The Frame with Lauren Grabelle

Jul 17

Step Into the Frame with Lauren Grabelle is a compelling evening that invites the community into the heart of Deer Diary, a photographic series that blurs the lines between wildlife, documentary, and fine art.
This event will feature an artist talk by Lauren Grabelle at 5:30 PM. Grabelle’s work, rooted in the Montana landscape, turns the lens on deer as collaborators using a trail camera to document their movements across familiar terrain. Her series evokes ancient traditions and modern tensions, exploring how humans and animals shape and share the land.
As part of the experience, guests are invited to step into an interactive photobooth inspired by the trail cam technique that defines Deer Diary. Like Grabelle’s subjects, visitors will be captured candidly by a quiet lens, offering a unique moment of reflection and authenticity.
In addition to the art, the evening will feature live music, a no-host bar, and sweet treats from Stuffed 406, creating a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere for art lovers, photographers, and curious minds alike.
