Still Present - Rory Jackson

Aug 1 - Aug 30

LT Pick

Opening reception is Aug. 12 for a solo exhibition of work by Rory Jackson, on display Aug. 1-31. According to the artist, the body of work titled “Still Present” represents a perspective three fold:
“Firstly, after a strange moment in history via the global pandemic we still remain, translating ourselves and our surroundings, presenting through our art. Secondly, when our minds become still in our creative process, it becomes present in our work, thus felt by our viewers. Lastly, through my observation of the landscape in and around Montana and Yellowstone, I am in constant remembrance that this landscape belongs to the indigenous peoples, who recognized the masterpiece of the natural world and left it unaltered and present to absorb still.”
