String Orchestra of the Rockies and Next Gen Student Musicians

Feb 23

Montana’s premier conductorless string orchestra, The String Orchestra of the Rockies, welcomes sixteen of Montana’s best student musicians to the stage for this third concert of their 40th anniversary season.
Inspiring young string talents from Missoula and across Montana bring their creative energy and inspiration as they join SOR in the rarely heard Boti’s Dances by Christian Woehr—sure to be a foot-tapping boisterous time for all. Rounding out this memorable program are the fiery, folk-inspired melodies of the Kabardinian quartet of Sergei Prokofiev, arranged for SOR, and the poignant Voyage by American composer John Corigliano.
