Sweet Grass Fest

Sweet Grass Fest is Big Timber’s signature summer celebration, held annually over the last weekend of June. Organized by the Chamber of Commerce, this high-energy weekend showcases classic Montana traditions and brings the community together for a variety of public events.
Highlights include: The Big Timber Rodeo: An action-packed, NRA-sanctioned rodeo held at the fairgrounds on both Friday and Saturday nights.
Downtown Street Festival: Saturday street closures on McLeod and 2nd Street for a vibrant vendor fair, food trucks, and a Kids' Zone.
Parade & Car Show: A popular classic car and tractor display along Main Street, culminating in the traditional community parade on Saturday afternoon.
Community Activities: A Saturday morning Fireman’s Breakfast, a charitable 5K Fun Run near the Boulder River, and lively evening concerts downtown.
