Sep 13

Testicle Festival or “Testy Fest” is an annual philanthropic country music concert hosted by the Alpha Delta Chapter of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity at Montana State University. The concert aims to raise money for various local, and statewide organizations including Montana FFA, Montana 4H, Heroes and Horses, Gallatin Valley YMCA, and Eagle Mount of Bozeman. While the name my be off-putting, it’s simply meant to honor Montana’s rich agricultural history and the serving of our famous Rocky Mountain Oysters.
A native of Bixby, Oklahoma, Corey Kent has been poised for a career in music from the beginning. A fan of anyone bold enough to walk their own path, Kent grew up on the music of independent-thinking stars like Randy Rogers Band, Turnpike Troubadours, and even Willie Nelson unconventional Texas/Oklahoma legends who toured hard, took creative chances and weathered all storms. And right from the start, he followed their lead. Corey began his musical career at age 11 when he took stage as a lead singer for a Western Swing band. Corey hit early milestones opening for legendary acts like Roy Clark and The Oak Ridge Boys.
Singer-songwriter Mike Ryan has achieved impressive accolades in just under 10 years, building a career independently that’s not only earned the devotion of fans, but the respect of other artists and notables in the music industry. Mike Ryan is just that caliber of talent. His gift as a songwriter has led to collaborations with such major label acts as Brad Paisley and Brandy Clark, and he has opened for some of the biggest names in the business, including Miranda Lambert, Hardy and Morgan Wallen, in addition to selling out his own headlining gigs.
Tanner Laws is a singer/songwriter who was born and raised in Thompson Falls, Montana. His band is out of Missoula and they play all over the state. He enjoys writing about the things he loves like hunting, fishing, anything outdoors, rodeos, and honky-tonks and tries to keep an authentic/traditional sound alive. Tanner’s inspirations for his songwriting come from artists like Johnny Cash, Chris LeDoux, Tyler Childers, George Strait, and Marty Robbins.
