Hailing from Ellensburg, WA, The Black Velvet Band (a.k.a. Black Velvet) have been shaking up the Northwest with
their infectious blend of noisy post-punk and poetic intensity. Since the release of their debut album Flood on Snake Music in February 2025, they’ve been praised as “a break in the cloud cover. Hard light.”
Straight out of Bozeman, The Love Darts craft infectious, heartfelt punk rock that shines a light on their rapidly changing hometown. On their sophomore release Neon Girls, the band takes aim at Bozeman’s soaring rent and shrinking
mountain views with humor, grit, and a “dirtbag” spirit. Tracks like “Five Over One” explode with crunchy guitars and joyful hooks, while the lyrics balance sharp observations with small-town nostalgia.
