“The Cake”

Della’s life in her North Carolina bakery appears to be sugary sweet. When her late best friend’s daughter returns home to reveal that she’s engaged, the exciting announcement seems to be the icing on the cake. But when Della finds out the little girl she helped to raise is marrying another woman, her life is turned upside down. Forced to re-examine her deeply held beliefs, and with her big break on a reality TV baking show on the line, Della must decide if she will make a wedding cake for a friend she loves like family.
