The Cascade Quartet: "Turn Up the Bass"

The Cascade Quartet is thrilled to have Mark Bergman–, teacher, conductor, composer, and virtuosic bass player, –join in on Dvorak’s Bass Quintet. The piece is a tour de force, but also pastoral. “You can hear the countryside in the slow movement,” says violinist Megan Karls. Adding double bass to the quartet adds a wonderful sense of space and an open-air quality. "Turn Up the Bass" concerts are part of the Great Falls Symphony's 2017-2018 Chamber Music Series.
