The Myrna Soundstage, presented by AARP Montana, highlights Montana artists we love, with interviews by Helena musician John Dendy.
Episode 5 features: Junior, a trio of singer/songwriters packing a quiver of instrumental skills, with layered vocals and playful arrangements. Think: The Roches, with a sweetgrass twist. Joined by nationally renowned pedal steel player, Eric Heywood.
Also featured is Izaak Opatz, a wonderfully askew songwriter and pioneer of Dirtwave (“folk music with catchier clothes.). Expect strong, slightly depressive, hilarious, radiant songs with a backsplash of heartbreaking charm.
Each episode is screened before a small audience at The Myrna Loy, and simultaneously streamed online, and streamed on-demand thereafter.
Light a fire, pour a tasty brew, turn up the volume, and join us for a virtual night at The Myrna Loy.
