The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Shadow Cast Performance

Nov 1 - Nov 2

This is not a performance of the live musical The Rocky Horror Show. This is a shadow cast where a group of performers act out the movie scenes in real-time as the film plays on a screen behind them. They mimic the actions, costumes, and dialogue of the film’s characters. These shadow cast performances are a unique and interactive experience. The audience will watch a screening while a live cast performs the movie on stage. The shadow cast experience combines film viewing with live theatre, audience participation, and a lot of fun.
In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad and Janet, stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker and a creepy butler. Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named "Rocky."
Viewers are encouraged to participate by shouting lines at specific moments (known as “call-backs”), dancing along to songs like the “Time Warp,” and using props at designated times. MAT will be selling prop bags for only $5 which include things like newspaper, water guns, bubbles, cards, and rubber gloves. No outside props permitted.
This show contains adult themes and language. May not be suitable for all audiences.
