Town and Gown Contra Dance at University of Montana

Nov 11

LT Pick Free

The annual Town and Gown Conta Dance celebrates the friendship of Missoula (Town) and UM (Gown). These community dances are based on European group dances that have been reshaped by their long history in North America. Contra dances are fun and easy and all the dances are taught. No experience or partner is required. There are always many willing partners at the dance. Dress is informal/casual with comfortable shoes. The dance starts off with a beginners workshop at 7:30 p.m. The dance is free, but donations gratefully accepted to help cover costs.
Wood Hogs And Roots Band provide music, with Rad Cummings calling.
