Unit Souzou: “A Constant State of Otherness”

Commissioned by The Myrna Loy, taiko drumming ensemble Unit Souzou is creating a one-of-a-kind performance on “otherness.”Drawing inspiration from the Helena community, “A Constant State of Otherness” explores the experience of home, movement, migration, immigration, belonging, and kinship.
They embed in Helena for a week-long residency collaborating with students at PAL High School, and elsewhere in the community, sharing the techniques and traditions of taiko.
