Voci di Donne: Women Composers of the Baroque Period

Jan 24

When we think Baroque, we think of J.S. Bach and G.F. Handel. We could just as easily think of Barbara Strozzi, Isabella Leonarda and Francesca Caccini to name just a few of the many prolific women composers of the era. Missoula Chamber Music Collective presents “Voci di donne”: a sampling of some of the finest music by women from the Baroque period. Bring your curiosity to seek out more delightful music from these lesser known composers. Featuring Margaret Baldridge and Loy Koch on baroque violins, Adam Collins on viola di gamba, Aneta Panusz on harpsichord, and soprano Caitlin Cisler.
