The Gallatin Valley Food Bank, MSU Office of Student Engagement and the Bozeman Doc Series present a special screening of the critically acclaimed new documentary, “Wasted: The Story of Food Waste.” The event is part of GVFB’s annual Can the Griz food drive and proceeds go toward supporting the local food bank. GVFB will also be collecting donations in the lobby before and after the film, and attendees are urged to bring a can of food to donate. “Wasted” aims to change the way people buy, cook, recycle, and eat food. Through the eyes of culinary luminaries like Anthony Bourdain and others the audiences will see how the world’s most influential chefs make the most of every kind of food, transforming what most people consider scraps into incredible dishes that create a more secure food system. This entertaining and illuminating documentary exposes the criminality of food waste and shows how each of us can make changes.
