West Kootenai Amish Community Auction

33rd annual auction kicks off at 10:30 a.m. with a sale of handcrafted quilts, wall hangings, rugs and more, made locally by Amish families and those from across the country. At noon, the focus shifts to machinery, log cabins, gazebos, rustic furniture, crafts and wood carvings. The Amish community also serves lunch “like grandma used to make,” including barbecued chicken, side dishes, pies and lots of baked goods. A portion of auction proceeds benefit the community’s private Amish school.
