Wilderness and Baffin Island

Feb 25

Free

Baffin Island, part of the Nunavut Territory off of Canada’s northeast coast, is larger than the state of Montana, and home to polar bears, arctic foxes and spectacular mountain scenery. Local conservationist and retired wildlife biologist Jeff Shryer recently completed an extended hiking trip on the Island, and will share his photos of the trip and some of the island’s indigenous people. This lecture is part of the Montana Wilderness Association’s Madison-Gallatin Chapter’s continuing series of Wilderness and ... presentations.
