The Pickin' in the Parks Concert Series, co-sponsored by The Bozeman Folklore Society and Bozeman City Parks & Recreation, presents the popular honky-tonk dance band. For 20 years this bunch, www.Twang, featuring singer-songwriter Buck Buchanan and his seasoned crew, has been delighting dancers and genuine country music fans alike with classic covers and seamless original tunes. Based in the Gallatin Valley, the musicians of www.Twang have recorded four CDs of the music they love. Each recording has “Twang tunes” and country classics that make listeners want to “roll up the rug” and turn their living room into a dance hall.
Along with Buck on the rhythm guitar, the band features Marcus Engstrom on lead guitar, Russ Olsen on bass, Mike Gillian on drums, and Mike Parsons on mandolin and fiddle, along with Mark O'Boyle on the pedal steel.
