Kenny James Miller Band

The Kenny James Miller Band is an all-original rock and blues band located in northwest Montana. The potency of a large rock band fits into the hands of three accomplished musicians: Ken Sederdahl on lead guitar and vocals, Chris Coen on bass, and Greg Sewell on drums.

Growing up in the late 60’s and 70’s, Ken has always had a love and feel for the blues. SRV, Robin Trower, Jimi Hendrix, Gary Moore, and Warren Haynes are just some of his influences. Ken masters both the technique and feel of old school blues, bringing the classic sound to his original works.

This trio of seasoned musicians is capable of opening or sharing a stage with any top band. KJMB opened for Commander Cody, and shared the stage with Robin Trower in 2011. Blues Deluxe Radio, a nationally syndicated radio show, selected their original song, “Can’t You Hear Me”, for air-play.

KJMB won the Spokane, WA, Regional Semi-Final Competition for the 2011 Blues Foundation’s International Blues Challenge, and also received the Inland Empire Blues Society’s “Best New Blues Band” Award in 2011.  “It’s not easy for a trio to put on a 90-minute show that keeps an audience on their feet and leaves them wanting more. Very few trios can pull this off the way these guys did. Their set was full of great originals and each performer showcased his considerable blues chops.” (Baggs Groove, Washington Blues Society Bluesletter)

The band was also featured in the Montana PBS program, “11th & Grant with Eric Funk,” in 2015. Eric Funk, producer of the six-time Emmy Award-winning Montana PBS series that features professional Montana musicians wrote … “As we all know, there are many bands out there playing music. Among them, there are a few that “make it happen”, bring incredible talent and energy to the gig and every single song they play. Kenny James Miller Band is one of those.
