Spend “An Evening at the Hotel California” with Don Felder, former lead guitarist for The Eagles, 7 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Four Seasons Arena at Montana ExpoPark.
Felder – four-time Grammy winner and a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 1998 – headlines this annual fundraiser for Camp Rotary, which provides local youngsters with the opportunity to explore, learn and have fun in the Belt Mountains.
Felder was a member of The Eagles for 27 years, putting his mark on many of the band’s milestones; he co-wrote the Grammy-studded smash “Hotel California,” along with fan favorites like “Victim of Love” and “Those Shoes.” His lyrical, signature guitar work marks many of the band’s most famous songs, including “One of These Nights” and “New Kid In Town.” After leaving the group in 2001 he authored the best-selling memoir, Heaven and Hell: My Life in The Eagles.
Felder also performed with legends spanning the musical spectrum: The Bee Gees, Peter Frampton, Bob Seger, Michael Jackson, Alice Cooper, Kenny Loggins, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Boz Scaggs, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Paul Simon, and many more. He’s currently touring in support of his new recording, The Road to Forever.
The Clintons, a popular Bozeman-based rock band, open the show.
The evening also includes dinner, dancing and a silent auction.
Tickets are $50; tables of eight are $500-$2,000; call 406-781-7343 or visit www.harvesthowl.com.
