GobCon, the third annual Goblin Convocation, returns to Front Street Station Sept. 16-17.
The event is dedicated to the fantasy/science-fiction genres, as well as the arts that support the industry. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters and enjoy presentations, panels, podcasts, demos, performances, lip-sync battles, and a costume contest and ball.
A live auction is also on tap, with proceeds benefitting Albert’s Angel Fund, which provides medical car for shelter animals.
Vendors offer fantasy-inspired art, jewelry, collectibles and one-of-a-kind items. Special guests include Pan Patoja and Miss Mouse Cosplay.
At Home in Hell performs Friday night, and The Pipes and Drums of the Black Devils entertain Saturday afternoon; Saturday’s costume ball features music by Shellshock Lullaby, Amestris and Tonight We Fight.
Doors open at noon Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. Tickets are $5; call 461-1323 or visit www.gobcon.info.
