The Decemberists’ two-day curated festival, Travelers’ Rest, will return to Missoula’s Big Sky Brewing Company Amphitheater Aug. 4-5, 2018. The two-day festival will once again bring together more than 15 artists, selected by The Decemberists, to perform across two stages.

The Decemberists release their eighth studio album this month.

The Decemberists will headline both days, once again playing two unique sets. Other confirmed artists include Death Cab For Cutie, Jeff Tweedy, Mavis Staples, Tune-Yards, Whitney, Parquet Courts, Tinariwen, I’m With Her, Waxahatchee and Lucy Dacus. Additional artists will be announced later this spring.

The Decemberists’ Colin Meloy has a special connection to Montana – born and raised in Helena he also attended the University of Montana in Missoula – and is excited for the festival’s return.

“We really had a blast last year. It was fantastic to play a part in bringing those great bands to the Big Sky State – many of whom were playing there for the first time. Hopefully we’ll instill a little more MT-love again with this lineup,” he said.

“Bands should know that Montana is a lovely place to tour, if sometimes a little hard to get to,” Meloy added.

The Decemberists celebrate the release of their eighth studio album, I’ll Be Your Girl, on March 16. The release includes an “Exploded Edition,” a limited edition vinyl boxset that features an expanded track listing with four exclusive tracks presented on eight 7” colored records.

The album and box set are available for pre-order now. Travelers’ Rest Festival is part of The Decemberists’ Your Girl/Your Ghost 2018 World Tour which kicks off March 22 in Pomona, Calif. Visit decemberists.com/tour.
