Creston Fire Fundraiser Brings Spring Bidding Action

Creston Fire Department’s 58th Fundraising Auction and Country Fair will be held April 6 and 7, 2024, at the Creston School, located 12 miles east of Kalispell on Highway 35. All proceeds from the sale go toward the fire department’s goal of building a replacement fire station in Creston.

The auction grounds open at 7am Saturday, April 6. Purchase your $10 bid tickets and view the Collectibles. A Rummage Sale and Bake Sale are available from 8am-3pm.

Opening Ceremonies get underway at 9am, along with the opening of the Arts & Craft Fair held in the Eastside Grange until 4pm. Then the auctioneer wagons start rolling in and bidding action begins with general items and collectibles, and continues all day until everything is sold – rain or shine! From fine china and kayaks, to lawnmowers and lumber, there’s a bit of everything and something for everyone!

The RV, Marine, Auto, Farm, Construction and Farm Equipment Auction kicks off at 11am Sunday, April 7. Grounds open at 9am to purchase $10 bid tickets and view the merchandise. Food vendors will be available.

Bring items in to consign Friday, April 5, between 7am-7pm and be sure to pick up your $10 bid tickets. All donations are appreciated. If you don’t have items to consign to the sale, monetary donations can be made through the Creston Fire website by selecting the red DONATE button in the upper right corner of the homepage, or can be mailed to Creston Fire Department, 4498 MT Highway 35, Kalispell, MT 59901.

The popular Smoked Pork Shoulder Fundraiser is back for its 5th year. The fully-cooked pork shoulders weigh an average of 6-7# and will feed 10-12 people. Perfect for your next family gathering! Tickets will be available in April and MUST be purchased in advance. Pork will be available for pick-up in May.

Creston Fire Department is a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to reducing loss of life and property through fire and emergency medical response, prevention, and education. CFD have been providing service to the Creston community since the late 1950’s. They are always seeking Fire Fighters, EMTs and Friends of Creston Fire. The Creston Fire Department owns nine fully-equipped engines as well as three incident command vehicles. Equipment is housed in four stations throughout the community at Creston, Lake Blaine, Mountain Brook, and Fairmont-Egan. In addition to firefighting equipment, these engines carry a full array of emergency extrication equipment as well as medical equipment including defibrillators. CFD also has a medical and firefighter training facility at Lake Blaine Station.
