Discover Montana’s Artisan Spirit at Seasonal MADEfair Events

Celebrate Montana’s creative community at the Helena and Missoula MADE fairs—artisan markets featuring local makers, handmade goods, and festive fun

Montana’s love for creativity and craftsmanship shines bright at the Helena and Missoula MADE fairs, two seasonal showcases that bring together local artisan makers, designers, and community members to celebrate all things handmade. Hosted by Handmade Montana, these events highlight the heart of the state’s vibrant maker community while encouraging visitors to shop small and support local talent.

Shoppers can explore an incredible array of handmade jewelry, ceramics, textiles, woodwork, fine art, and gifts, all crafted by over 200 talented Montana makers who pour their passion into every piece. The best part is meeting the artists and artisans behind the products. They love to talk about what they make so every gift has a backstory.

Helena’s Holiday MADE fair is held at the Lewis & Clark Fairgrounds in Helena on December 5 and 6. This festive winter market offers a weekend full of art, design, and holiday spirit in the capital city.
On December 13 and 14, the excitement moves west to Missoula’s Adams Center at the University of Montana, home to one of the state’s largest modern craft fairs. With over 200 artists and makers, the Missoula MADE fair offers something for everyone—from sustainable fashion and artisan foods to locally inspired home décor.

Admission: Free Admission on Saturday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Open to all. $10 VIP Pass gets you in on Friday, 5–8 p.m. to get the very first pick of handcrafted treasures and enjoy a relaxed shopping experience. $5 Early Bird Pass is good for Saturday, 9–10 a.m. for anyone who wants to beat the crowds and shop early for the best finds.

Both events blend art, community, and giving, creating a meaningful holiday tradition where creativity and connection thrive. Whether you’re hunting for a unique gift or simply inspired by Montana’s artisan spirit, the Helena and Missoula MADE fairs promise a festive, feel-good shopping experience like no other.
