International Guitar Night (IGN) has spent more than 25 years redefining what a guitar concert can be—bringing together world-class players from different countries, traditions, and genres for one unforgettable evening of collaboration and virtuosity. This February, audiences have three opportunities to experience the magic live at Wachholz College Center (Feb 9), The Myrna Loy (Feb 10), and Ellen Theatre (Feb 11).

What began as a humble “guitar happening” in a converted Berkeley laundromat has evolved into a globally renowned touring event, selling out prestigious venues around the world—from Edinburgh’s Queen’s Hall and The Barns at Wolf Trap to the Mareel in Shetland and Germany’s Grosses Haus. Each IGN performance is unique, built around spontaneous musical exchanges and one-time-only collaborations that will never be repeated.
The 2026 IGN lineup is among the most adventurous yet, featuring four fearless artists whose collective talents span continents and generations. These concerts promise the same result IGN has delivered at every performance for decades: standing ovations, roaring encores, and audiences buzzing long after the final note.
Making her IGN debut, Taimane (Hawaii) becomes the first ukulele artist ever featured in the series. Known for her high-voltage stage presence and genre-bending imagination, she takes listeners from Bach to Led Zeppelin while redefining what the ukulele can do.
Alexandr Misko (Russia), the first left-handed guitarist to appear on IGN, is a modern fingerstyle trailblazer whose custom-built guitar allows for percussive effects and instant retuning. His inventive arrangements and melodic storytelling have earned him a massive international following.
From Brazil, Lucas Imbiriba brings breathtaking intensity, blending flamenco speed, Latin rhythms, classical lyricism, and rock power. His virtuosic solo arrangements and cinematic interpretations have captivated millions online and electrify live audiences.
Rounding out the quartet is Thu Le (Vietnam), a classical prodigy and IGN favorite celebrated for her impeccable technique and expressive depth. Her repertoire moves seamlessly from Baroque masterpieces to contemporary and global works rooted in her cultural heritage.
