A one of a kind free multi-age poetry workshop led by Aidan Dolbashian!
We all have things we’re afraid of and things that fascinate us. But what about the places where those two feelings intersect? In conjunction with the current exhibition On Darkness: shifting perceptions, the class will discuss the mystique around a common fear (darkness) by looking at works from a variety of artists who employ darkness through a range of perspectives. Then the class will be prompted to identify NOT their biggest fears, but most intriguing fears, and explore them through the lens of erasure and blackout poetry, applying darkness directly to the page (both figuratively and literally).
