Apr 1 - Apr 22

In this relaxing and engaging course, the class will focus on finding each student’s unique voice in color, composition, and mark making. Through studying works throughout history, the class will provide context to abstract art and the opportunity it provides for freedom of expression and finding joy in the process.
Emphasis will be placed on breaking down the often intimidating barriers that surround creating art and learning to engage with and trust instincts. There will be discussions about taking increased notice of what brings the most visual joy, composing highly personal paintings utilizing memory and found materials from daily life.
