Crown Guitar Workshop is pleased to announce the lineup of artists in residence who will be teaching and performing at the workshop during the week of Aug. 26-Sept. 1. Headlining the list is John Oates, returning for his second year. Oates will bring The Good Road Band to also teach and perform during the festival.
Returning for the eighth time is jazz master Lee Ritenour; also joining in the jazz genre is a legendary jazz artist, Pat Martino with his trio.
Renowned bassist Nathan East will perform, collaborate and teach bass a Crown first. Classical guitarists SoloDuo and singer-songwriter Liz Longley will be making their second Crown appearance. Justin Townes Earle will also appear on stage and teach singer-songwriters.
Each artist-in-residence will be featured in a public festival performance during the week. This year’s concerts feature Edgar Winter and Cory Henry on Tuesday; Pat Martino Trio, Lee Ritenour and Nathan East on Wednesday; Justin Townes-Earle Guthrie Brown and Poco featuring Rusty Young on Thursday; and Stars and Rising Stars featuring Michelle Kath, Danny Seraphine, students and faculty. The festival wraps up Saturday with the Festival Finale, featuring Jim Messina and The Good Road Band, Rusty Young, SoloDuo and Liz Longley.
