Life can be stressful. Science and psychology are now discovering that various forms of meditative training can promote psychological and emotional health.
The Buddhist tradition has long acknowledged that life is difficult for everyone. Buddhist practice and philosophy offers tools for how we can embrace and overcome what troubles us in order to experience a more full, balanced, and purposeful life.
During this day-long event, Dave Smith will offer a range of practices and perspectives to help participants better understand how to develop a healthier inner life. There will be guided meditation exercises, short lectures, and time for Q&A.
Smith is an internationally recognized Buddhist meditation teacher, addiction treatment specialist, and published author. His background is rooted in the Insight Meditation tradition. Registration for this event includes admission to a talk on the evening of Friday, Oct. 7.
