A day-long Alzheimer's awareness event culminating in the free documentary showing of Matter of Mind: My Alzheimer's in the Cordingley Room.
In addition to the film, the Weissman-Hood Institute will be available for free memory screenings and a research update at 5 p.m. Kyla from the Department of Public Health and Human Services will lead free tai chi to focus on mind body and soul starting at 4 p.m., and Highgate Senior Living - Great Falls will provide a free taco bar dinner starting at 5:30 p.m., as well.
The Indie Lens Pop-Up film, Matter of Mind: My Alzheimer's, presented by ITVS, Independent Lens, will screen from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The final documentary in a three-part series focusing on neurodegenerative diseases, “Matter of Mind: My Alzheimer’s” explores how family dynamics change when a loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
