Meisner Technique I

With Jenna Ciralli. Really talk, really listen. The Meisner Technique aims to break down social conditioning in order to unearth our truest impulses and most authentic self. Working off a scene partner with a basic repetition exercise, the actor will learn to take the attention off themselves and onto their partner’s truthful behavior. The class will culminate by applying the Meisner Technique to scene study. This “living truthfully” is an excellent foundation to bring genuine behavior and naturalism into your acting. This course will sharpen your sense of truth, play, perception and fullest expression of self. This class is open to all levels of Meisner experience. No previous training required, those new to acting welcome. Those who have taken Meisner previously are invited to return to this foundational training.
