Metals: Making Connections

This six-week course will focus on connecting metal through riveting and soldering. In the first three weeks, students will learn basic riveting and tube riveting, which are cold-connecting techniques great for studios without torches and mixed-media projects. The second half of the course will focus on soldering, both end-to-end and sweat soldering. Students will learn the techniques and then transfer those skills to a design of their own.
This class is appropraite for both beginners, and those wanting to broaden their metalsmithing skills.
