The STEEM Program provides middle school girls with a professional mentorship opportunity while simultaneously building their confidence and competence in the sciences.
The Summer Institute focuses on a different STEEM topic each week. The week is spent building trust, confidence, and courage in the fields of science, technology, engineering, environment, and math. Activities include hands-on experiential learning opportunities with leaders in STEEM fields, practice in science communication, and setting personal goals for professional and academic careers.
This immersive camp is designed for curious minds eager to explore the exciting world of engineering and the natural world. Over the course of one week, campers will dive into hands-on activities that blend cutting-edge engineering with the wonders of nature.
Fun, interactive activities help to foster teamwork, creativity, and leadership skills. The participants will meet and learn from professionals in a variety of fields to understand the wonderful world of engineering in nature. Throughout the week, campers will also work on a singular project to highlight the complexities and fun of engineering. Our EcoBuilders STEEM camp is about getting out of the classroom and into the different environments that make up our beloved Missoula Valley, and fostering curiosity and building skills through real-world applications.
